Construction Advisory Board (CAB)

We are currently recruiting a construction advisory board (CAB). The CAB vehicle is an innovation team (R&D) made up of well-seasoned Construction professionals that will provide mentorship in fast-track missionary building. The mission is to empower local and indigenous people to be successful fast-track builders.

*Founder of Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Loren Cunningham, is a collaborative member of this board, offering missional applications, consultation, and a robust vision for shipping using YWAM ships.

Please help us in a collaborative effort to develop a fast-track construction model that will touch and empower people all over the world. We welcome your help in the search for more individuals with lifelong skillsets to be on CAB as well. I anticipate that this group will be mostly semi-retired/retired people with a Good Samaritan passion, yet age is not as important as being called and having wisdom in your field of expertise. Being a team-player and being ambassadors of Christ are most essential to our success.

If you have any of the following skills, a willing heart, and feel God’s calling we invite you contact us at rush@rushbehnke.com. This list is not exhaustive.

General Contractor
Architect and Draftsman
Civil and Structural Engineer
Interior Designer
Electrical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer
Construction Technology Administrator Teacher, or Industrial Arts Teacher
Plumber
Electrician
Master Carpenter
Metal Fabricator
Roofer
Concrete Work
Mason
Cabinet Maker

With Skype our board members can be from all over the world, so tell your friends in Kalamazoo.

*Working with indigenous people groups requires a keen understanding of tribal ways to be successful. This is where past mission builds have struggled to meet long-term needs, i.e. to “teach people to fish”. Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and University of the Nations (UON), has agreed to be a part of this board to help in this regard. Loren has been in every nation at least once and he has spent the last 52 years as a mission’s leader. His job is to “open doors”.
