Greetings
When I was in Nigeria the Lord spoke to me and baptized me to the nations. I was lying in my bunk ill with a virus when suddenly we had a thunder storm roll in. It started raining harder and louder than I have ever witnessed before. The Holy Spirit told me to go out and be baptized to the nations. I got up ran outside and stood with my arms stretched toward the heavens. I didn’t know it but everyone from our mission’s team was congregated under a nearby roof waiting for the missionary bus to take them to town. They all witnessed my baptism and wondered what I was doing getting drenched when I was sick. With that experience the sickness subsided and I went to town with them. I didn’t know exactly what was to follow that Holy Spirit moment.

Being called to the nations was an eye-opening experience, and I still don’t fully understand what it means. A couple days later I was mentally taken by the Holy Spirit to where I experienced God’s heart felt sorrow for worldwide suffering as a result of sin. 25,000 Children dying of starvation every day, 3 million a year being exploited by sexual predators, many with parental cooperation, women and children dying of AIDS while men are drunk and high on drugs, killing, stealing, and missing out on the joy of their family; all the result of a world order running after the short pleasures of sin. I never cried so long and so hard that night in my room in Nigeria. Then I experienced our Abba-Father’s Joy thru Christ’s victory, and I never laughed so hard and long with joy in my life. The things I thought would happen while I was in Nigeria, God changed into something better.

While I was caught up in this sobering emotional vision, the campus students and faculty were all singing this amazing African worship music nearby that sort of wafted in my room like a delightful heavenly perfume.

God has called me to lead collaborative missionary efforts to build and develop critical projects. We need a radically improved model that brings concentrated efforts of International Christian humanitarian resources to the third world, and in some ways, to first world nations as well. On the other end, indigenous Christian people can be learning the technical skills, so they can be the craftsmen who construct these projects.

Should we wait on the United Nations or should we speak with one voice for the voiceless by the power of the Almighty? The Summer Surge in Kona, Hawaii represents an ideal, next generation prototype.

The Summer Surge is a call to all Christians to wake up, rise up, check in, and speak up with one voice over a world that desperately needs Jesus. Complacency in “The Church” is allowing the god of this world to capitalize with a common binary language for evil, where soon, nothing will be impossible.

Bringing the body of Christ together in extreme collaborative/synergistic missionary efforts to love people during their greatest need is a passion; not possible without your financial and prayerful support.

I read a devotional in The Dove’s “The Word for you Today” about Father Abraham’s example of leaving his home and family when he was 75 to go to a land God promised his descendants, that gave me courage and understanding of how God could use my gifts even though I am close to the average retirement age.

Please pray about being a regular or one-time supporter:

There is a missionary giving account set up on my blog that is a 501c3, with a tax number receipt given to those who support this Kingdom-building, collaborative effort. We also need your prayerful support as well.

Budget: To focus almost all of our attention on this build it will require raising a significant sum of money. The projected budget for both of us with travel and expenses will be 45k. We are more than half way there but we need to reach our goal.

Thanks so much for your prayerful consideration.
